Raised in Houston, Texas, Tim was a competitive road cyclist in high school and competed at the collegiate level while earning his undergraduate degree in zoology from Texas A&M University.
Tim discovered his passion for applying biomechanics and training while racing .That passion led Tim to pursue his master’s in physical therapy from University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Texas.
Upon graduating, Tim chose a Houston clinic that provided physical therapy services for the local professional and collegiate teams, providing Tim an opportunity to treat world-class athletes. Within six months, Tim stepped-into the clinic director position, overseeing five physical therapists and teaching orthopedics/sports medicine to other physical therapists.
After practicing physical therapy for seven years in Texas, Tim could no longer ignore the call of the Rocky Mountains. Tim moved to Denver, CO, in 2003, to work for Physiotherapy Associates, and three years later, opened a clinics in Gunnison and Crested Butte, CO. In addition to providing physical therapy for the Gunnison Valley Tim and his team are the physical therapy providers for Western State College and Gunnison High School.
Tim designs customized and goal-oriented programs for athletes that are based on his assessment of their injury, muscle weaknesses, imbalances, neuromuscular control and flexibility.
In his free time, Tim enjoys road and mountain biking, climbing, backpacking, skiing and traveling. As a recreational runner, Tim completed his first marathon in 2005, and has climbed 38 of Colorado’s 54 14,000-foot peaks.
