Staff Meeting for May 1st 2008

  1. Vacancies - Instruction Librarian position will be the be first to be advertised and then later will be the Cataloger/Archivist position.
  2. Coffee Cart update - food service is moving to Ute, if a coffee cart does come to the library, library may have to contribute some funds.
  3. Databases - now is the time to renew/add subscription databases with WilsonOmni file coming due in June. We may drop Wilson in favor of Academic Search Complete. I will look into how it may impact our subscription through AIRES. For next fall, we will send around a list of possible trial databases and see if there is any interest amoung the faculty for these products. The art faculty is interested in ArtStore.
  4. During the next senate meeting on Monday, announce additional funding for books and dvds is available.
  5. We still have 5k from our Delmas money for projects, the deadline is June 30th.
  6. Eric has a list of graduating seniors with reasons for possible holds on their account.
