Firefox Extentions
From Library
Firefox, a popular open-source web browser, allows users to add additional functionally to their browsing experience through the use of community developed add-ons called extensions.
Some popular extensions such as Greasemonkey, allow you to add functionality to a web-site (attach notes to a particular web-site site, change content) all without actually changing anything at the web-site. Other extensions allow you to use different search engines and RSS feeds, display weather information on your desktop, and use other Web 2.0 sites for blogging and social uses.
- Download and install the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/
- Start Firefox and go to the add-ons site at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/. Browse around and see all of the options that are available to customize Firefox for you.
- To help with your Flickr homework, try-out this extension called Fotofox https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3945
- E-mail Jeremy when you are finished.
