From Library

FLICKR - Here is another really fun assignment. Start here by taking the tour. Here is your chance to start putting the new library or your own digital camera use. Flickr gives you, for free, a storage space on the Internet for your photographs. But even more than that, it gives the user the ability to store those photographs in separate sets and with tags so that when you want to find them you can. The tags allow other Flickr users to find the photographs too.

  1. Create your own Flickr account.
  2. Take some photographs of the library (make sure and get a photo release if there is a human in the picture!)
  3. Upload your photographs and tag them "Savage Library". Make sure when you enter the tag you do it exactly like this - including the quotations "Savage Library".. If you don't use the quotation marks each word will be its own tag. The tag will show up like this SavageLibrary - and that is OK. It is also important to make sure that your photo is tagged public, otherwise no one will be able to view it.
  4. Find Jeremy's profile by searching for jermnelson2002.
  5. View my profile and then add me as a Contact. Jeremy will receive an e-mail from Flickr and you will receive credit for this course.
