Overdrive
From Library
The Savage Library, through our participation with Marmot, offers downloadable e-books and music through our Overdrive service. All of the staff computers should already have Overdrive installed. Overdrive works with our Marmot online catalog.
Overdrive does have some limitations based on the restrictions set by the publishers. Overdrive tries to replicate the check-in/check-out model for works where access, copying, use of record can be restricted. Also, Overdrive does not work with the most popular portable music player, Apple’s IPod. Overdrive assignment
- Go to the Marmot Overdrive website at http://marmot.lib.overdrive
- Search and select a work you are interested in hearig.
- Launch Overdrive from your desktop. If you don’t have Overdrive, download the client software from http://www.overdrive.com/software/omc/download.asp
- Download a title to your PC
- E-mail Jeremy with the name of the resource downloaded to receive credit for this course.
