Processing of Donations
A number of paper periodicals have been donated to the Savage Library. We need to go through the donations, add material to the library collection or replace damaged copies if the donated copy is better than our current copy. Steps for completing this project:
- Check catalog for donated material
- Add or edit entry in catalog
- Locate shelf space for new collection, shift collection if necessary
Shifting of Collection
The purpose of shifting the collection is to create space for additional material. Also, part of the shifting project is to look for missing or misplaced issues within the collection. As the collection i the West Wing basement is likely to be moved following changes in the Library's use plan, this shifting will likely be part of moving the collection as well.
