Joomla Review

Joomla is a popular Content Management System(CMS) that offers an easy solution to web development and maintenance. Since Joomla is an open source project it is freely available to anyone who wants to use it. The reason that people use Joomla over any other CMS is it's easy to use interface that removes clutter and confusion, and therefore makes it very easy for even non-programmers to get into. To a non-admin a Joomla website appears to be a nice clean website like any other, and in my example the only other thing that they might see is a simple WYSIWYG editor.

After using Joomla to a fair extent I can see no reason why any web developer would not use a CMS to do the vast majority of their work. As a developer you can control content and media from a simple, clean menu driven environment. In my example the super-admin is able to screen all incoming content before it is posted as well as edit it. Site customization is fairly easy to do after you become familiar with the system and becomes second nature after a few times of use.

I am going to put this up in a .doc format because I have been staring at far too many wiki edit pages lately. Here it is.
