Now I am currently working at a Travel company - Polk Majestic, I am still and will always be former Mr. Universe and I have seen the Exorcist 127 times AND IT KEEPS GETTING FUNNIER EVERY TIME I SEE IT. . . Now, do you think I qualified? Ok, that's a lie...I haven't seen the Exorcist that many times. I am, however, getting married in September, I have two dogs - a lab mutt and a St. Bernard and last October moved into a house in Parker that is way too big for me and my fiancé and yet we seemed to have filled it top to bottom with stuff - mine mostly.
But I suppose you would like to hear more about what I now do to make a living. I work for Polk Majestic Travel Group, a very fast growing travel agency that specializes in personal and corporate travel needs. I am developing a web based application that will be used to keep track of individual travel preferences. This web application is written in Ruby on Rails because of the need for the application to get and write large amounts of information to and from a database. Also, because of some of the built-in effects that give the applications a "live" feel make Ruby on Rails the perfect environment to create this web based application in. Later, I will be doing some Visual Basic programming for some of the back end applications that do ticket processing for the airlines, but I haven't got that far yet and there are still many ins-and-outs of the operation that I have yet to learn dealing with these back-end applications.
