Family Weekend Climbing 2007

The Family Weekend Hartman Rocks climbing trip was a great time for the students, families, and instructors. We began our trip with the best FREE pancake breakfast ever at Webster Hall. After gorging ourselves we met up and took a bouncy ride out to the Beginner Slab at Hartman Rocks, where our super-instructor Linsey Ward had sacrificed her morning, missing the pancake hootenany to hook up three challenging and fun top-rope climbs.

Everyone really challenged themselves this blustery morning, with a few folks climbing real rock for the first time ever! Go parents! The climbs weren't easy - two of them were delicate tip-toes up crystal staircases, and the third was a smooth slab of steep granite, without holds - you have to really work to get to the top of this one.

Thanks to everyone who signed up and came out for this trip! We had a blast and hope you did too. Come again next year -
