The Good Times

The first ever Spring Break Yurt Trip was a stunning success. Rob Rouse and Jacob Anderson took a group of four students along the Hinsdale Haute Route, an amazingly beautiful ski route along the Continental Divide above Lake City. We stayed in three yurts over the course of the five night, six day trip - the Jon Wilson, Rambouillet, and Colorado Trail yurts. We played mad cards, ate tons of food, stayed warm, enjoyed the views, and skied ourselves sore. It was an awesome time in an incredible place.

The Participants

Thanks to our Western State College students that made this trip possible - Alex, Tom, Millissa, and Dave. We had a rocking good time and we were stoked to have you along. Everyone really pitched in, from fixing broken gear, cooking, cleaning, chopping wood, and carrying the heavy stuff. We even pitched in for the first ever Wilderness Pursuits backcountry porta-potty installation. Way to go, team!
