From the backcountry ski spots to the slopes of the ski areas, I enjoy it all! Steep or mellow, it doesn't matter as long as I’m out there skiing. I hope to still be skiing when I’m 80 yrs old. As a ski instructor, I have had the opportunity to work with some old timers who enjoy skiing the powder just as much as us young bucks. Almost every one can enjoy the sensation of sliding on the snow and it gives me a good feeling knowing that I have added to this wonderful sport. It’s been a joy and a pleasure to provide Western State College with this backcountry ski guide. My fellow project mates and I would like other students and faculty to add some of their favorite back country ski spots to this Wiki page. Those folks who are just starting to explore the backcountry of Crested Butte and Monarch will appreciate what we have done for them. Ski on my friends and be safe!
