WBO 2007: Blue Mesa Sea Kayaking

Explore Blue Mesa Reservoir, Colorado's largest body of water, touring atop the flat water in your personal sea kayak. Carry all that you need to camp along the water's edge within the kayak.Start out by learning how to wet exit and pack all your gear into your Sea Kayak. Then spend the first day learning about group travel in Kayaks from your instructors. Then each participant will get the opportunity to help lead their own group. Everyone will learn how and have the opportunity to be the navigator, point, and/ or sweep for their group. Each day participants will paddle from about 10am to 3 pm and then have the afternoon and evenings to play teambuilding games, hike, swim or even kayak a little more while also camping all over blue mesa, even on the groups personal island one night. The last night of the trip will feature a night kayak past the Marina to Turtle Rock to camp and then setting off to College with a new experience in their own backyard.
