WBO 2007: Seven Day Crested Butte Backpacking

The Crested Butte area, just north of Gunnison, is renowned for its rugged beauty and natural grandeur. This course offers you the unique opportunity to venture deep into this backcountry, with nothing but the pack on your back and peers by your side! Be prepared to hike several miles a day over passes and peaks at altitudes over 10,000 feet.
You will hike a loop in the elk mountains along single-track trails, streams and waterfalls. August is wonderful time of year and you can experience hot sunny days and seasonal rain storms.
